Our Business Framework department is the glue of QuoIntelligence, which keeps it together as a business. Our colleagues in the department look after the structure and health of the organisation, from a Human Resources, Financial, Legal, and Compliance perspective.
Starting anytime in February or March, our finance team is looking for an enthusiastic Working Student / Intern based in Spain (ideally around Madrid) to support our Senior Finance Operations Specialist across a variety of operational finance activities.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys switching hats, thrives in a dynamic start‑up environment, and wants to learn how a modern, high‑growth company runs behind the scenes.
Responsibilities and Duties
Support pre‑accounting activities by gathering supplier invoices, checking completeness and accuracy, and applying our internal categorisation guidelines.
Assist in monitoring accounts payable and receivable, including preparing payment runs and keeping an overview of outstanding receivables.
Draft client and intercompany invoices and prepare them for review and approval.
Follow up on overdue payments by sending reminders and escalating when needed.
Help maintain and refine our cashflow tracking, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
Incorporate monthly actuals into our financial models and internal reporting framework, contributing to a clear view of company performance.
Contribute to research, process improvements, documentation, templates, and small operational projects as they arise.
Qualifications & Skills
Currently enrolled in formal education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Excellent attention to detail, strong research skills, and comfort working with numbers.
Solid spreadsheet proficiency and a willingness to learn new tools quickly.
Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish, Italian, or German is a plus.
A proactive, hands‑on attitude with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
A keen interest in AI and automation
Contract & Compensation
This internship is designed for students enrolled in an education program in Spain, and who are available for 20-to-40 hours per week for at least 4 months. We'd hope for a 6 month long internship, and we're offering a compensation of up to 800€ gross per month during the time the internship is legally active.
